Usman Mughal brings over 14 years of distinguished expertise in patent law—specializing in patent prosecution for advanced computer, software, electrical, AI, semiconductor, and telecommunications technologies. A registered U.S. Patent Practitioner based in Oregon, he has served as President of the Oregon Patent Law Association and earned recognition as a Rising Star by Super Lawyers and membership among America's Top Lawyers.

Previously a design engineer at Intel, Usman holds over ten U.S. patents and has co-authored fifteen technical publications spanning analog and mixed-signal circuit design, microwave systems, CAD tools, thermal sensors, AI, and 5G standards. His hands-on technical background combined with a juris doctor in IP law (cum laude), plus editorial experience on the Lewis & Clark Law Review, provide a rare blend of scientific and legal leadership.

As a Chief IP Officer at PI Invent Inc., Usman brings strategic vision and operational excellence to our IP portfolio management.
